Our vision is to glorify God by fully loving Him and loving others. How do we plan to accomplish our vision? One way is by committing to use our skills and gifts to further the cause of Christ through ministry. We know from God's Word that we are given different kinds of gifts, service, and works from the Holy Spirit through the Lord Jesus Christ for the common good of the body of believers (1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4). Therefore, there is a variety of opportunities to serve within our church family. The following are specific needs we have right now. If you have any questions or have a specific area in mind that is not listed below, please contact via e-mail Wendy in the Church Office or call 763-682-1470.
CARE FOR YOUR CHURCH FAMILY THROUGH PRAYER
Our Church Staff and Prayer Team are here for our church family, to bring our needs and concerns to the feet of Jesus Christ; as well as, to celebrate with us in giving thanks to God for His presence in our life. In addition, Our Church Staff and Prayer Team believe that the God of our Lord and Savior Jesus hears our requests and He intercedes on our behalf according to His will. They are committed to intercede on behalf of our church family's requests; keeping them confidential. To be part of our Prayer Team, please contact via e-mail the Church Office or call 763-682-1470 for more information.
SNOW REMOVAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The weatherman is saying that this could be another snowy winter, we are asking for volunteers to sign up for a weekend(s) for the coming winter to remove snow and ice from around the church building; clear sidewalks and entry areas around the church. We have paid snow removal for the parking lots, but need volunteers to keep our sidewalks clear. We don’t want our brothers and sisters in Christ to fall and hurt themselves while coming or going to Worship their Lord Jesus Christ! Please be among the willing to serve our Lord and church. To be added to our roster of volunteers, click here to e-mail or call 763-682-1470. Thank you!
AWANA LEADERS NEEDED!!
We are excited about God is doing at Awana. We have over 230 children in our club this fall, which is the highest attendance we have ever had at Awana! We are averaging about 35 more kids than last year. What this means is a desperate need for more leaders - especially men (but we need some more ladies, too)! We use men leaders for all of our boys groups. It is very important that our boys form positive relationships with men in our church, and Awana is one of the places this happens. PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING AT AWANA! We are especially calling on the grandpas and grandmas in our church to step up and help with this ministry. You will have an opportunity to have a significant, positive spiritual influence on the lives of kids that will last for all of eternity. Want to do something that lasts forever? COME HELP US AT AWANA! Oh, I almost forgot. It’s FUN! For more information or to say, “Count me in!”, contact via e-mail Janine or call her at 763-682-1470.
WITHIN OUR WORSHIP ARTS MINISTRIES
The Worship Arts Ministries here at Buffalo Covenant Church are looking for people who have a desire to serve the Lord in creative ways. You don't necessarily have to be on the platform, be able to play an instrument, or sing to be involved with our team... although we DO have needs in those areas as well! We are looking for people who feel that God has gifted them in the area of creative communication and the arts; people with great hearts and great attitudes who are ready to serve. For more information and to volunteer, e-mail Christine Passig or Dan Anderson.
Rehearsals: Thursdays • Room 106 • 6:45 p.m.
We have began our new choral year and our first ministry Sunday will be on September 14th. If you would like to join singing with the choir, please contact via e-mail Marsha Kirkpatrick.
