HI ALL!

Just a reminder here about eternity.

Jesus made a strong statement which we cannot ignore:

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.  (John 10:9)

In case there is any doubt about what He means, He says it another way here:

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

As Christians, it is our responsibility to pray for the lost. That is, we are called by God to pray for those who do not know Jesus. We need to ask God the Holy Spirit to bring them to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. 

I would encourage you to make your Top Ten list and start praying. (That is, make a list of ten people who do not know the Lord, whom you will pray for on a regular basis.) Put it in your Bible as a marker to remind you each time you open the Word to pray. Jesus said that there is no way to enter into life except through Him. So ask God to touch hearts and help them to respond.

Also, have you selected your "prayer fish" focus yet? Be praying that God would lead someone you know to trust in Christ and begin to worship with us here at BCC. What is most important, of course, is that they trust in Christ. So be praying for that. When you have selected your people to pray for, write their first names on one of the fish up at the front of the gym and attach it to the fishnet as a reminder to pray.

If we truly believe in an eternity either with or without Jesus, we will want to keep praying for family, friends, and co-workers who do not know Him, that they could experience forgiveness and life through Jesus!
