2. APPROVE NEW MEMBERS Moderator Mark Pederson gave brief background and personal information on each of the following people before the approval was voted on by the members present. Enthusiastically the following people were approved as members and will be welcomed in during the Sunday morning services on February 27th:

3. FINANCIAL REPORT Deacon Dan Riley gave a thorough and positive update on how we are doing financially using the financial report sheets in the Annual Report. Copies of which are available in Lobby Pillar #4 or by stopping into the Church Office during business hours.
4. UPDATE & PROPOSAL FROM WORSHIP CENTER REMODEL COMMITTEE (WCRC) Committee Chair Dwayne Kettenacker gave a clear update on who and what the WCRC has been doing since the 5th of December 2010. The following is some of that specific information:
• On December 5, 2010 the congregation approved the Elder Board to assemble the WCRC committee and to spend up to $15,000 for architect fees. • A committee was assembled including: Paul Lundeen, Elder Rep; Mike Anderson; Roger Peterson; Dick Barth; Steve LeClaire; Dan Anderson; Gordon Davis; Karyn Endreson; Dwayne Kettenacker • We have held 4 meetings. • Went through the process of identifying Architect firms and developed a list of 6 or 7. • Narrowed the list down to 2 firms identifying those that are successful firms, have vast experience and have work with churches. • The committee picked Station Nineteen Architects and Vanman Architects. Both located in Minneapolis. • Both firms visited the church, gave initial presentations to the committee and submitted quotations. • After much deliberation, discussion, clarification of each firms quotations the committee selected Vanman Architects. • The actual Vanman quote was for $16,000 which is an additional $1,000 over the approved amount of $15,000 by the congregation. • The committee is asking for congregational approval for $16,000. • If approved Vanman Architects are prepared to start next week with their Facility Assessment and Schematic Design work. The request was approved.
5. UPDATES GIVEN BY MODERATOR MARK PEDERSON • We are very excited to welcome our new Executive Pastor Bill Miller as he officially started here at Buffalo Covenant on the 1st of February 2011! We encourage you as our church family to take time to greet him and get to know him and his family. Please pray for Pastor Bill as he is with us during the week; as well as, for his wife Melodie and son JB as they finish-up the school year in Albert Lea. They will then join Pastor Bill and us in about four months. • Our wise and faithful Pastor Emeritus Carl Taylor will be re-retiring in June 2011. We have many reasons to thank our God for Pastor Carl and his years of care for this church! Please be in prayer for Pastor Carl and his wife Marlys; as well as, our church family during this time of transition in the coming months. • Please take time to read through the Annual Report. Our various Pastoral Staff and Ministry Leaders have taken considerable time to reflect on this past year from their perspective and the countless ways our God through the Lord Jesus Christ worked and changed lives in the adults, youth, and children of this church and community.
