Hey all,

I've got some news for you if you are recently married or thinking about getting married.

Melodie and I will be offering a 5-week class called "Growing Together". It is both a marriage preparation, and a marriage enrichment course for couples. 

We are starting it because a number of couples have contacted us at the church and are thinking about marriage, or are soon getting married and are looking for some counseling and preparation for that big step. So we will be providing a group for premarital counseling and preparation. But it need not be limited to just soon-to-be-marrieds; it is also will be good for recently married couples.

Here are the details:

• It is five weeks long, from Wednesday night, Sept. 7th thru Oct. 5th. 
• The course uses a computer-scored relationship inventory called "Prepare-Enrich". 
• It is DVD enhanced where you will get to meet four other couples who are either married or engaged, and learn about the issues they are facing and how they are handling them. 
• Topics covered are: Communication, Conflict Resolution, Finances, Sex, Family of Origin, In-Laws, Parenting, Leisure Time, and Spirituality.
• It includes couple homework related to Date-nights, Setting Goals, Making a Budget, Clarifying Values, Learning to be Assertive, and Practicing Reflective Listening.
• The class costs $50 for the computer inventory and materials. If you want to take the class and have financial issues, please contact us for financial help. We don't want finances to prevent any couple from taking the class.
• Melodie and I have taught this course over a dozen time to dozens of couples, and love connecting with and getting to know couples and helping them.

Because of space issues at the church, we will be meeting off-site in rented facilities. Space will be limited, and so we need you to contact us right away if you are interested in taking the Growing Together class.
