Elder Prayer Focus

Buffalo Covenant,

I would like to invite you to join with me and the other Elders in some key prayers for the spiritual health and well-being of our church.

Here's the background:

The Elders are seeking to understand in a clearer way what is God's will and wish for this church. We are seeking His guidance on a vision for our church. Seeking God's will is a process that never ends, and must be continuously refreshed along the way. So we are studying a book of the Bible together and praying our way through it as we go. At one of our meetings recently we developed a prayer list that we as Elders are all committing to pray on a regular basis. In fact, Barb Anderson took these prayer items and made them into very nice prayer cards which we keep in our Bibles.

Here's the list of items for which the Elders are praying:

1. That we would experience the Power of God's Presence

2. That God would raise up Leaders in our midst

3. That we the Buffalo Congregation would be responsive and receptive to God's Holy Spirit

4. That we would see the Opportunities God has placed before us

5. That we would be pray for the spiritual Harvest all around us

This is what the Elders are praying for, both when we gather together, and in our personal devotional times.

Would you join us in praying for God's leading and blessing in these areas?

Thanks!

For Christ and His Church,

Pastor Bill

Thank you for starting this blog and investing the time in it--I enjoy jumping in and reading when I have a break in my day. It helps keep my head on Kingdom things.

Thank you for sharing these prayer requests with the congregation. In one accord, we will seek God's face. I have been praying for the Lord to make Bcc, "a house of prayer." I am seeing areas where God is moving us toward this. Glory to his mighty name!
