Adopt-a-Family

Love INC-Big Woods is partnering with the Buffalo Rotary again this year to sponsor the 2012 Adopt-a-Family program for Christmas. The Rotary Club will match up families needing help with those who wish to “adopt.” Individuals can join together to adopt a family – small groups, Sunday school classes, Bible study groups, families or individuals can all be involved! Lists of families and their needs will be given to each church as soon as that information is available. Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at Zion Lutheran church either Dec. 10 or 11. Instead of toys, the Adopt-a-Family program suggests gifts that are necessities - like clothing and personal items.

We will get forms out to the church offices for those families in your congregation who wish to be “adopted.” (This can be done anonymously) The gifts will be passed out on Dec. 13 & 14 at Zion Lutheran Church. Love, INC-Big Woods and the Lullaby Ministry work together to support parents with babies and young children. Certain items are offered for free to families in need in the Buffalo–Maple Lake–Hanover area.

In addition to money and diapers, items needed include:
Back pack carriers, Breast feeding pillows, Children's Books, Crib Sheets, Cribs (immobile sides only), Diaper Bags, Front pack carriers, Exer-saucers, High Chairs, Pack 'n Plays, Sling type carriers, Wipes
