Adult Education Sunday School

John 10:27-28— My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

Jesus, as the Good Shepherd, affirmed that His sheep would hear His voice. That is why you should participate in an Adult Sunday School Class at Buffalo Covenant Church. Bring the whole family to Sunday School! Become a model Christian for your family and before other believers.

Adult Sunday School Winter 2015 Schedule

Classes At 9:30 a.m.

Swimming Upstream 101
Is intended for parents of children who are ages infant through 5th grade. Topics are selected to help parents with the task of discipling their children at home, and swimming against the current of popular culture.

Intergenerational Family Bible Study:
Weekly • Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther
• Room 105
Mom and dad, would you like to study the same book of the Bible as the nursery and elementary kids, as well as the middle school and high school students? Then Swimming Upstream is for you! Each week you will receive insights, resources and encouragement to help you lead your family as you study and are transformed by God’s Word together. To learn more, click here. This 9:30 class (Swimming Upstream 101) will be targeted toward parents of younger children, while the 11:00 class (Swimming Upstream 201) will be targeted to parents of older children. HOWEVER: All ADULTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND EITHER CLASS.

Christian Ethics
Thru February 8 • Room 106

Headlines: they aren’t what they used to be. What used to be right is wrong, and what used to be wrong is now right. So, who decides what is right, and what is wrong? Taught by Attorney Bill Everett, in this class we will explore the biblical foundation for ethics: living life God’s way.

Sticky Faith: Living a Life that Sticks
Thru January 25 • Youth Room

Scripture teaches us to “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” How can parents and grandparents do this when life only seems to go faster? Taught by Stan Vander Kooi, you are invited to enter a new world of family life and faith that will change not only your kids, but you as well. Note: At least 5 participants are needed for each class (offered at 11:00 hour too).

Ethiopia Mission Team Report
January 25 • Room 106

Karen Wistrom and team members from BCC will share about their time in Ethiopia, give updates on projects BCC has participated in, and how BCC can continue to be involved. During our time in Ethiopia, our team mentored and ministered to 400 orphaned and destitute children attending two Children’s HopeChest care-points, and we are awed at the work God is doing in the lives of these kids and the staff!

Biblical Prophecy & Current Events
February 1• Youth Room

Jesus told us clearly that we are supposed to “Watch!” (Mark 13:36). Led by Dennis Lingo, we will look at newspaper headlines and our Bibles as we examine the news of the day and compare it to the events and conditions the Bible says to watch for.

Membership Class
Starts February 8 • Youth Room

Are you interested in learning about Buffalo Covenant and possibly explore becoming a member? Our annual four-week membership class will begin February 8th. If you would like to attend, simply write in the comments section “Discover BCC membership” on the front of the contact card and drop it in the offering plate, or please contact Pastor Steve (763-647-0271; stevewint@buffalocov.org).
