Community Life: A place to belong, grow, and serve
Community Life is BCC’s pathway to getting connected with others and growing spiritually. Community Life offers four opportunities to become involved:
Sunday Morning Community Groups:
These mid-sized groups of 30-50 people meet on Sunday mornings and are a great first step for those wanting to get more connected in the church, as well as for those who may be in a small group but want to meet a larger circle of people. Group members study the same theme that is being taught
during that morning’s worship service through discussion of key scripture passages in an interactive format. This is an effort to help us go deeper in the things we are learning on Sunday mornings and make them a part of our lives. The make-up of each Community Group is based on where people live, in an effort to help people connect with others from the church who live near them, on Sunday mornings as well as other times during the week.
Eastside Community Group and Westside Community Group meet Sunday mornings at 9:45 am in the Fellowship Hall; and Central Community Group meets on Sunday mornings at 11:15 am in the Fellowship Hall. We would love to help you find your Community Group. Please call the church office for more information.
Newcomers Welcome Brunch:
Community Groups host quarterly get acquainted brunches to welcome newcomers, help them become familiar with the ministries of the church and connect them with people in their Community Group. Please join us at the next Welcome Brunch by calling the church office.
Neighborhood Groups:
Neighborhood Groups are groups of 8-14 people who meet 2 or more times a month, during the week. Groups are made up of those who live close to one another in an effort to help people become involved in one another’s lives on a deeper level, as well as impact their neighborhood together in positive ways. Groups discuss how to act upon what they are learning at Sunday worship services and Community Groups, as well as care for one another and have fun together. Neighborhood Groups are in the process of forming. If you would like more information, please call the church office.
Neighborhood Dinners:
The Neighborhood Dinner is a chance for those who live near each other to share a meal together and connect with BCC attenders right where you live as well as provide an opportunity to reach out to your neighborhood. The Neighborhood Dinner is a first step to meeting your neighbors and another step toward developing new Neighborhood Groups. Neighborhood Dinners are being held in your neighborhood the weeks of January 14th, February 11th and March 11th. Please call the church office if you would like to attend.
