children's ministries

Our children are the future of Buffalo Covenant. We believe that church should be a fun place to come. It is more important than ever that our children be instructed in Christian values and principles for living. We seek to reinforce the values of home, good citizenship, and sound character.

The people who work with children at Buffalo Covenant Church really love children and seek to model what they teach. Your child will enjoy the activities, profit from instruction, and make friends with other children who are being taught the same values.

On Sunday mornings we have Sunday School classes for birth through 5th grade. The pre-school curriculum is a hands on approach that focuses on Bible stories from both the Old and New Testament. The curriculum in elementary grades 1-5 is an interactive approach with care groups, Bible memory, music, and Bible stories.

AWANA (September through April)
On Wednesday evenings (6:00 - 7:45) we sponsor an AWANA program for children. The goal of AWANA is “to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.” Its purpose is twofold: evangelism and training. We want to draw boys and girls from the community into the club ministry where they can hear the Gospel and accept Christ as Savior. We also want to prepare clubbers to fulfill God’s call for them to reach out to the lost and hurting, and grow in their walk with the Lord.

“AWANA” is an acronym for “Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed.” It is taken from II Timothy 2:15 which states, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
